How do I register as a new customer?

To begin the registration process you will need to click on the My Account button located at the top right of the Maplin Site.

You will then be given the option to create a new account. Registering with us will help us to understand the types of products that are of interest you. If you choose to receive our email newsletter, you will be the first to know about all the latest special offers.

We will ask you to provide a password, this can be anything you wish and can consist of either numbers and/or letters. Should you ever forget your password we will ask you for the answer to the security question that was given during the registration process.

PLEASE NOTE: FOR VAT PURPOSES, RESIDENTS OF THE CHANNEL ISLANDS WILL NEED TO CHANGE THEIR COUNTRY FROM THE UK TO THE CHANNEL ISLANDS

During registration you will be given the option to be sent a reminder of your password in the registration confirmation email. Should you choose not to receive this you will lose the ability to request emailed password reminders later, however you can enable this option through your account settings later if you wish.

When you have provided all the required information, click on the 'register' button and you will be directed to your new account. You will also be given a unique customer number which you may use to log in to the Maplin site as an alternative to your e-mail address. The customer number may also be useful should you ever need to contact our customer service team.

How do I log into my on maplin.co.uk account?

After registering your details with us, you are able to log into maplin.co.uk at any time. Just click on the My Account link at the top of the page and enter either your customer number or email address and password (exactly as you gave when you first registered).

If you have forgotten your password, click here for detailed instructions or us the "Forgotten Your Password?" button on the Login page.

PLEASE NOTE: FOR YOUR OWN SECURITY, SHOULD YOU BE INACTIVE ON THE MAPLIN SITE FOR MORE THAN 30 MINUTES YOU WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE LOGGED OUT.

I have forgotten my login password

Should you forget your maplin.co.uk password, we offer you two options. It can either be reset on the screen once you have correctly answered the security question that was setup during registration, or we can send you your password by email - however, this option will not be available if you chose not to receive passwords by e-mail when registering.

Answering the security question

After entering the correct answer to the security question, click continue. Providing the answer to the security question is correct, you will be given the option to create a new password. You account details will then be updated with the new details immediately.

Having the password sent to you

If you would like your password to be sent to you by e-mail, click the "Continue" button and your password will be sent to your registered e-mail address within a few minutes.

I am trying to log into my account and the site does not recognize my email address

If you are unable to log in, it may be that your e-mail address is not registered or you may only be have previously subscribed to the newsletter and not to the site.

Newsletter

If you are a subscriber to the newsletter you may not necessarily have an account with us as it was once possible to register for the newsletter by simply providing your e-mail address. The registration process to create an account requires more details.

Registered

When logging into the site using your email address please ensure that you are spelling your address correctly, any errors will result in a failure to log into your account.

If you have previously changed your email address and are trying to login with the new address online and you are receiving the "Email address not found" error, you may have not registered your new address with us.

To gain access to your account, try logging in with your old email address, or your customer number if you have this to hand. If this method logs you into your account you can then change your contact details. For help on how do to this please click here.

I am trying to log into my account and nothing is happening

In order to log in, maplin.co.uk use what is known as a 'cookie'. maplin.co.uk cookies will not compromise the security of your system (see Privacy & Security for more information). If you have the 'cookies' feature disabled in your web browser you are likely to encounter problems when logging into the maplin site.
